Dear Parents and Guardians,
Let Us Pray:
All Things Swimming
Congratulations to Thomas Faction in winning this year's school swimming carnival. It was wonderful to see so many parents/carers/grandparents in attendance. Special congratulations to those who won the sportsmanship awards as well as our champion swimmers and runner ups. Thank you to our sports teachers Mr Gaby and Ms Jerovich for putting a great day together.
Results from the day can be found further down in the newsletter.
Swimming lessons commenced this week for Years 1, 2, 4, 6. From all accounts the first week has run very smoothly. Parents are reminded not to approach the swimming instructors during lesson time. Please see the supervising class teachers if you have any queries.
NAPLAN
Congratulations to our Yr 3 and Yr 5 students who have complete 2 weeks of NAPLAN testing. The national tests covered Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy. NAPLAN results will be released to schools and parents early in Term 2.

Before School Play
Please note that before school, all playgrounds in all areas of the school are out of bounds for all children. When children arrive to school before 8.15am they will need to sit on the UCA stage until supervision starts at 8.15am. From 8.15am until the bell goes children are to stay in their allocated area.
The safety of your children is always our priority.

Fruit of the Spirit Focus: KINDNESS
The Fruit of the Spirit of Kindness involves tenderness, heart, and action. We see kindness countless times in Jesus' ministry. He had compassion on those who had were “like sheep without a shepherd” and in need of both physical and spiritual food (Mark 6:30-44).
Kindness: doing acts that may help or assist others.
A Prayer for Pope Francis
Heavenly Father,
We pray for Pope Francis.
We ask for Your healing hand to be on him.
Give him strength in his body, mind, and spirit
as he recovers from his illness.
May Your grace surround him,
bringing comfort, peace, and restoration.
Protect him with Your love,
and may the light of Your wisdom
continue to guide him in his mission.
We trust in Your mercy and know You are with him.
Amen.
