Carols on the Green update
Planning for the Carols on the Green our final fundraiser for the year, is well under way. We have all positions on the subcommittee filled now and coordinators for each of the stalls. Our coordinators are: Raffles – Amy Campbell, Sausage Sizzle – Ashe Benze, Drinks – Margaret Devine, Lucky Dips – Mirika Hall and Lollies and Popcorn – Sam Heirich and Clare Bickers and Basketball Hoops Arcade Game – Dario Heirich and Kurt Bickers, Choc Luck – Vanessa Heyhoe and Master of Ceremonies/DJ – Leigh Jones.
Donation acknowledgements and thankyous!
By now you will have seen the acknowledgement via the Parent Information Page and Seesaw, of the businesses and individuals who had over the holidays, so generously supported the raffles with donations of goods, services or cash. The Raffles team has had more donations come in and below is an updated list of those sponsors. From these generous donations there will be some fantastic raffle prize gifts created to win at the Carols on the Green and there will be something for everyone.
$5 donations from each year group
In Week 2 there will be donation envelopes distributed to all year groups, for each child from 3&4 Year Old Kindy to Year 6. We are seeking a voluntary donation of $5. All money donated will go towards purchases for Raffle Prizes, the Choc Luck Stall and the Drinks Stall. If you would like to donate, place $5 into the envelope provided and return to your child’s class teacher or to the Front Office by Week 4 Monday 30th October.
How to purchase Raffle Tickets
Raffle books/tickets will be sent home with the eldest child from each family, 8 days prior to the Carols on the Green and there is only one book per family. The book will be placed in a return envelope marked clearly with your child’s name and the ten ticket numbers the book contains. There is a very short timeline for distribution and return of raffle tickets and books and more details about dates for return of monies and tickets will be published throughout the term.
This year there will again be extra books available to purchase as a ‘cash and carry’ from the Front Office and limited tickets sales on the night. We would like to remind the school community that purchasing a raffle book and tickets isn’t compulsory and if you do not want your raffle book, please do not throw it away, return it to the Front Office so we can make it available for someone else to purchase.
Let’s Get Grazey Van – Grazing Boxes
Let’s Get Grazey will be preparing the grazing boxes for the Carols on the Green. Grazing Boxes will need to be ordered prior to the event and can be picked up on your arrival directly from the van. Orders are to be placed directly to the website and a QR Code with other details regarding price and ordering will be made available in the coming weeks. We will keep you posted.
Carols on the Green Fundraising Goal
The Carols on the Green will be the final fundraiser for the year. All monies raised from the event will be put towards financing the shade structure over the terraced area at the Basketball Court. The shade is the final item on the 2023 budget that was set down at the commencement of this year.
Carols on the Green is in Week 8 on Thursday 30th November from 5pm – 7pm. We hope you can come along and support this P&F event while enjoying the company of family and friends from our school community.
Next P&F Meeting
Our next meeting is Monday 16th October at 4.30pm in the Staffroom. Just a reminder that everyone is welcome, and we would love to see you there.
Kind regards,
