Dear Parents and Guardians,
Sacrament of Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation happens when an individual is sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. It is received after the Sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist. During Confirmation, the individual is anointed with Sacred Chrism by Bishop Michael, who invokes the Holy Spirit upon them. This Sacrament strengthens and deepens the individual's Baptismal grace, empowering them to be strong and faithful witnesses of Christ. It is seen as a personal commitment to live one's faith fully and actively participate in the Church community. Confirmation is an essential step in the journey towards spiritual maturity and a deeper relationship with God.
Thank you to our Year 6 parents, Bishop Michael, Fr Gerard, the Year 6 teachers, my 2 Assistant Principals and the candidates' sponsors in preparing the children for their Confirmation which was held on Thursday evening. As can be seen it takes a village to raise a child with the St Lawrence's staff also in attendance on this special evening.
May each of the candidates be blessed with God's grace.

Year 3 Family Mass
Year 3 students and their families will celebrate a Family Mass on Saturday evening starting at 6pm in the St Lawrence's Church. What a wonderful opportunity to come together and share the Eucharist as one family. Hope to see you there.
Fundraising Opportunity
The 2023 Australian Indigenous Voice Referendum will be taking place on Saturday 14 October (end of week 1). Fitzgerald Hall will be used as a polling booth for this day. There is an opportunity for a group (school, local sporting group, scouts etc) attached to St Lawrence's to do some fundraising. A democracy sausage sizzle, drinks etc is always popular when these events occur. Please contact me if you are interested in doing some fundraising for a local group.
Happy Holidays
As this is the last newsletter of the term, I would like to wish you all a very relaxing and safe holiday. School commences for Term 4 on Tuesday 10 October.

P & F Wishlist Recipient
Each year our hardworking P&F have the opportunity to grant donations to the school for ‘Wishlist’ items submitted by our staff.
One of the recipients this year was the 3YO Kindy classes who requested funds for some much-needed resources to fit out the 3YO Kindy classes in Fitzgerald Hall. Below are some photos showing what we were able to purchase thanks to the P&F Wishlist funds.
Thanks P&F – we have some very happy 3YO Kindy students & teachers!
