Dear Parents and Guardians,
NAIDOC Week
Thank you to our school NAIDOC Committee for organising a week of fun, informative and sometimes challenging activities as we recognise and acknowledge the First Peoples of the land in which we stand. We will finish our NAIDOC Week celebrations tomorrow at our closing ceremony at 1:20pm.
Safe Travels
I would like to wish Miss Andrea D'Souza safe travels as she starts her leave at the end of this week. Andrea will be away for all of Semester 2, 2023, taking time to regroup and spend time with her family in India, whom she has not seen in over 4 years.
Miss Rebecca Burro will replace Andrea as the class teacher for 3T for the remainder of the year. Miss Burro will spend Week 10 of this term getting to know the students and their needs.
Parent meetings for 3T will still be available on Friday of week 10. If you wish, you could use this opportunity to meet Miss Burro to introduce yourself to her and address any concerns.

New Student
We welcome Hansel A to Larmenier 1 and to St Lawrence's. Hansel has 5 brothers with 3 of them attending St Lawrence's - William in 4B, Ivan in 2T and Josiah in 1B.
We are so happy you are at our school Hansel.
3 Year Old Kindy - Naming Competition
Next term we will be starting our fourth group of 3 Year Old Kindy with 17 children participating in the program on a Friday in Fitzgerald Hall with Mrs Amber Gratte as the teacher and Mrs Georgia Johnson as the EA. We are now looking for 4 cute names for these Kindy groups. If you have any suggestions please email them through to admin@stlps.wa.edu.au
Canteen News
Starting next term our school canteen will commence operating 5 days a week. Tania Taylor will continue as canteen manager with Taryn Soullier and Cynthia McLean as the canteen assistants. With increased days we will also need to increase our volunteers. So if you are a parent, aunty, uncle, grandparent and have a day or two to spare, please contact the canteen and put your name down. We hope that the St Lawrence's School Community will continue to support our school canteen. Please return the volunteer sheet that was sent home back to school by Monday 26 June.

St Lawrence's has had a wonderful week with our many and varied NAIDOC celebrations and activities. Please pray this special prayer for NAIDOC week:

We pay our respects to the Elders we’ve lost and to those who continue fighting for us across all our Nations and we pay homage to them.
