Staffing News
Congratulations to Miss Ciarra Ryan who was the successful applicant for a teaching position at St Paul's Karratha. We thank Ciarra for the work she has done at St Lawrence's as a teacher and previously as an EA. We wish her all the best for the future.
Staff Professional Learning
On Monday our EA's attended a conference with other EA's from the Geraldton area run by the Catholic Education Office. Teachers spent the day working on their new devices - iPad Pros. The new devices are very similar to what the students use currently use - iPads. Staff focused on building confidence with iPad workflow and maximising creativity. Staff also had the opportunity to explore emerging technologies using ARMakrApp and Keynote templates. As a learning tool, these devices will enhance 21st Century learners. Thank you to our CEWA specialists who travelled to Geraldton to deliver both professional learning opportunities.
Enrolments 2023 Onwards
As you may have heard, we now have a waiting list for Kindy 2023 (90+). We certainly have had a population boom at St Lawrence's. A text was sent out to all families this week containing a link to a survey asking if you have children born on or after July 1 2019. Please complete this survey as this will help us in future planning 2024 and beyond. We don’t want your children missing out on a place at St Lawrence's in the future years. A copy of the survey link is below:
