Dear Parents and Guardians,
Farewell Geraldine Harris
After 23 years of service to St Lawrence’s Geraldine Harris will be retiring at the conclusion of the year. She will finish work at the end of Term 3 and then will be on LSL for the remainder of the year. We thank Geraldine for her position as Finance Officer for this period. Her knowledge and commitment to the school will surely be missed. She has gone through many system changes over the years including when everything was done manually to MAZELITE, MAZE and now AoS. She also has worked with many families, staff, parish and CEWA over the years. Many past parents and grandparents still speak highly of Geraldine and what she contributed to the St Lawrence’s Community.
Enjoy your well-deserved retirement Geraldine and enjoy spending the many years to come with family and friends.
Belinda Gammon will replace Geraldine as Finance Officer.
Best wishes and God bless Geraldine.
Andrew Chinn Incursion
Thank you Andrew Chinn from Butterfly Music for the workshops that were held throughout the day followed by a whole school concert. We love having you at our school and cannot wait until you return again to teach us some more awesome songs, deadly moves and crazy jokes. The many songs that the children learnt will be remembered in our future liturgies. We hope to have Andrew back here in 2 years' time.
Book Week 2022
Thank you to the 2022 Book Week Committee for another successful parade, awards and staff play. Thank you to all the parents who spent hours putting together such colourful and imaginative costumes. From all accounts it was a brilliant day.

Educational Assistance Appreciation Week
This week we celebrate all of our Education Assistants and Support Staff of St Lawrence's. The school could not exist without these people, working closely with our children each day. The dedication of each one of them is so valuable and we are blessed to have them here at our school. Thank you for all that you do.

Father's Day
Happy Father's day to all our Dads/Grandads - we hope that your families show their appreciation for you on your special day.
GOD OUR FATHER, WE GIVE YOU THANKS AND PRAISE FOR FATHERS YOUNG AND OLD.
WE PRAY FOR YOUNG FATHERS, NEWLY EMBRACING THEIR VOCATION; MAY THEY FIND COURAGE AND PERSEVERANCE TO BALANCE WORK, FAMILY AND FAITH IN JOY AND SACRIFICE.
WE PRAY FOR OUR OWN FATHERS AROUND THE WORLD WHOSE CHILDREN ARE LOST OR SUFFERING; MAY THEY KNOW THAT THE GOD OF COMPASSION WALKS WITH THEM IN THEIR SORROW.
WE PRAY FOR MEN WHO ARE NOT FATHERS BUT STILL MENTOR AND GUIDE US WITH FATHERLY LOVE AND ADVICE.
WE REMEMBER FATHERS, GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT GRANDFATHERS WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH US BUT WHO LIVE FOREVER IN OUR MEMORY AND NOURISH US WITH THEIR LOVE.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Year Six Confirmation candidates as they look forward to celebrating with their families and sponsors their the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday September 8th,6pm in the UCA .
Prayer for Confirmation Candidates:
Lord, you send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to Your voice. Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfilment the good work that You have begun in them. As we prepare these children for Confirmation, make each of us an instrument of Your love. Teach us to appreciate what is holy in others, and to be patient with what we do not understand. Deepen our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our example. We pray that You will continue to guide us and sustain us.
Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.
