Principal's News
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Let Us Pray:

Kids Hub Changes
Due to operational changes, Kids Hub have had to review their before and after school arrangements. As of the 5 March they will cease operations on the St Lawrence's site. However they will continue to provide a full service for all St Lawrence's families from their 470 Chapman Rd Bluff Point Naturescape site. They will use their bus to pick up and drop off students. Please visit www.kidshubtc.com.au/oshc for more information.
ACROD Parking Bays
At St Lawrence's, we provide ACROD parking in our 3 carparks: 1 in front of Administration, 2 at Fitzgerald Hall and 2 in the back carpark next to kindy. We have families at our school who rely on these spaces and display the correct permits. Please keep these parking bays clear at all times.
The penalties for illegally parking in an ACROD parking bay have been increased from a maximum of:
- $300 to $500 for fines; and
- $2000 to $5000 for court-imposed penalties.
NAPLAN
We wish our Year 3 and Year 5 students the best of luck as they start their NAPLAN assessments next week on Wednesday 12 March. NAPLAN and other forms of assessments provide schools with insights into student performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, guide curriculum improvements, tailor teaching strategies, and benchmark progress against national standards.
Schools Advisory Council (SAC)
On Wednesday evening the SAC had their first meeting of the year. Thank you to the following parents who have volunteered their time to be on the council. We are still looking for one or two new representatives to join the group. If you are interested please send me an email as an expression of interest and what skill set you could bring to the council.

Fruit of the Spirit Focus: KINDNESS
The Fruit of the Spirit of kindness involves tenderness, heart, and action. We see kindness countless times in Jesus' ministry. He had compassion on those who had were “like sheep without a shepherd” and in need of both physical and spiritual food (Mark 6:30-44).
