Dear Parents and Guardians,
Let us pray:
Prayer for peace in the Middle East
Lord Jesus Christ.,
You are our peace and the light of the nations,
Put an end to the spiral of terror and suffering in the Holy Land and the whole Middle East.
Let peace and justice flourish at the holy sites. You are our refuge.
Let the people be safe in your love.
Amen
Staffing News
Our head groundsman Grant Shadforth is now on leave until April. We wish him all the best as he recovers from shoulder surgery. We welcome 4 new EA's who will start work in 2025. Congratulations to Haylee Farrell, Amanda Jones, Caitlin McConnaughty and Kasey Godenzie and welcome to St Lawrence's.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons have now commenced this week for students from Year 1, 3T and Year 5. It is important that students remember to bring their gear each day (bathers, towel, goggles, thongs) so they can complete their 2 week course and possibly achieve their level.
Basketball Championship
On Monday Mr Gaby coached our girls basketball team down at Perth. They had mixed fortunes winning a few and losing a few. Overall the girls had a wonderful time representing St Lawrence’s. Great effort.

STEM MAD Nationals
What a pleasure it was to travel to Brisbane with Mrs Helen Bonnell, Lily, Elainey, Matilda, Billy and their families to participate in the STEM MAD Nationals Showcase. Even though they are now in Year 7 at Nagle, they represented St Lawrence's superbly. Their Swagon was a talking point of the showcase as they were interviewed numerous times and explained their concept to the waiting crowds.

Transition Day
On Wednesday morning our 2025 Preprimary students spent time in the PP Centre meeting the teachers and education assistants and exploring their new play and learning spaces. They enjoyed experiencing all the new opportunities preprimary has to offer them.
Yesterday our P-5 classes have worked in their possible 2025 classrooms, making sure they know where they are, where drink fountains and toilets are located and learning about what wonderful activities they can look forward to in the year ahead.
Thank you to Austin, Daly and Riley for snapping these great photos.

2025 Class Splits
At St Lawrence's Primary School we are using an innovative program called 'Class Solver' to support the process of class allocations next year. Class Solver allows each classroom teacher and the administration team to input information about each student. The program then formulates balanced and appropriate classes. 1000's of educators around the world are now using this program to ensure your child has the best start to the school year with thoughtful and intentional class placements of each student.
Happy Days

Raffle and Ticket Instructions
On behalf of the P&F, we are absolutely ecstatic to announce that our end of year raffle is now LIVE! With a host of incredible prizes, 2024 really is the year to be in it to win it.
School fees, toys, vouchers, hampers, beauty products, sporting goods, 4WD products, artwork – it’s all there.
We have slightly changed the format of our raffles this year to make it even easier for everyone to get involved – instead of utilising the ‘choose your own prize’ method from previous years, raffles will be drawn in a scheduled order with a prize assigned to each draw, meaning you can now be involved in the raffle even if you are not attending on the night!
Tickets are available to purchase online again, using the link https://myschoolconnect.com.au/st-lawrences-ps-bluff-point-raffle
Instructions can be found below if you need a hand purchasing for multiple children or creating your account. For those who prefer the cash method, please drop in and see our incredible admin team in the office. Please note purchasing of tickets will strictly close on Wednesday, November 27.
