Dear Parents and Guardians,
Let us Pray:
World Teachers Day
On this World Teachers' Day, I am thrilled to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our dedicated and talented teaching staff. Their unwavering commitment and passion have been instrumental in shaping our students' futures, especially through challenging times. Each teacher at our school goes above and beyond, nurturing minds and inspiring lifelong learning. We are truly privileged to have such a remarkable team who continuously strive for excellence and make a profound impact every day. Please join me in celebrating and expressing gratitude to these extraordinary educators for their dedication and hard work.
Thank you to the St Lawrence's P&F for providing afternoon tea for all of our staff down at The Broady after school today.
Staffing News
Congratulations to Regina Cotton who has been the successful applicant for an admin position at Holland Street. This year Regina has worked as a part time admin assistant. Today will be her last day.
We thank Regina for the time and effort she has put in whilst at St Lawrence’s and wish her all the best in her future years.
We welcome Shaun Arthur as the temporary groundsman starting on Monday. Shaun will be replacing current groundsman Grant Shadforth when he goes on leave in mid November.
2025 Class Splits
At St Lawrence's Primary School we are using an innovative program called 'Class Solver' to support this process. Class Solver allows each classroom teacher and the administration team to input information about each student. The program then formulates balanced and appropriate classes.
1000's of educators around the world are now using this program to ensure your child has the best start to the school year with thoughtful and intentional class placements of each student.
Upcoming Visit from St Brigid's College
During her visit to Geraldton, Mrs. Veronica Parker, Principal from St Brigid’s College in Lesmurdie will be dropping into St Lawrence’s on Tuesday 29 October. Whilst here, she will be connecting with St Lawrence’s teachers, staff, and students.
St Brigid’s College, nestled in the stunning hills of Perth, offers exceptional boarding options for students in Years 7 to 12. This is a fantastic opportunity for St Lawrence students to chat with Mrs. Parker, where they can ask questions and share their thoughts about living and learning away from home.
Mrs. Parker will be sharing anecdotes and insights about life at St Brigid’s, including what students love about their learning experiences, the vibrant St Brigid’s lifestyle, and details about the engaging Boarding Recreation program and more.
St Brigid’s College, is dedicated to nurturing confident, critical thinkers, guided by their College values in an enriching environment full of opportunities for their students.
If you would like Mrs Parker to speak to you directly, she would welcome an opportunity to catch up after school. She is contactable at parker.veronica@stbrigids.wa.edu.au

Prayer for Teachers
Heavenly Father,
May you inspire our teachers with creativity as they plan for our learning experiences.
Fill them with peace as they find ways to deal with the many new concerns, they must address to fulfil their roles. May they always know of our gratitude for them.
We ask this prayer in Jesus' name,
Amen
